{"id":2332,"date":"2024-07-12T09:52:29","date_gmt":"2024-07-12T09:52:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mediapbn.com\/?p=2332"},"modified":"2024-07-12T10:15:38","modified_gmt":"2024-07-12T10:15:38","slug":"rs-32-20-crores-released-to-6314-beneficiaries-of-scheduled-castes-minister-dr-baljit-kaur","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mediapbn.com\/?p=2332","title":{"rendered":"Rs. 32.20 crores released to 6314 beneficiaries of Scheduled Castes: Minister Dr. Baljit Kaur"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Chandigarh: The Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is constantly striving for the welfare of all sections, while continuously working for the welfare of the Scheduled Castes. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">An amount of Rs. 32.20 crore has been released from the budget provision of the year 2024-25 to a total of 6314 beneficiaries of the Scheduled Castes for the year 2023-24 under the Ashirwad Scheme for Scheduled Castes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Divulging in this regard, Minister of Social Justice, Empowerment and Minorities Dr. Baljit Kaur said that the Punjab Government has released an amount of Rs. 32.20 <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">crore<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> for 6314 beneficiaries of scheduled castes of Barnala, Faridkot, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur, Malerkotla, Moga, Sri Muktsar Sahib, Sangrur <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">and<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> Tarn Taran districts. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">This amount covers a total of 6314 beneficiaries received on the Scheduled Caste Ashirwad portal during the year 2023-24. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">She said that 01 beneficiaries of district Barnala, 482 of Faridkot, 757 of Gurdaspur, 1356 of Hoshiarpur, 253 of Malerkotla, 817 of Moga, 935 of Sri Muktsar Sahib, 854 of Sangrur and 859 of Tarn Taran have been covered.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0The Minister added that to avail <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">the<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> benefit of <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Ashirwad<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> scheme, the applicant should be a permanent citizen of Punjab state, her family should be below the poverty line, <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">the<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> applicant should belong to scheduled caste, backward classes <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">and<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> other economically weaker families.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">If the <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">family<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> annual income from all sources is less than Rs <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">32,790 ,<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> two daughters of such families are eligible to benefit from this scheme.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0Dr. Baljit Kaur further informed that the Punjab Government is committed to the welfare of Scheduled Castes, Backward Classes <\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">and<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"> Economically Weaker Sections.
