{"id":23602,"date":"2025-08-16T14:58:05","date_gmt":"2025-08-16T09:28:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mediapbn.com\/?p=23602"},"modified":"2025-08-16T15:01:04","modified_gmt":"2025-08-16T09:31:04","slug":"punjab-to-launch-pension-service-portal-benefitting-over-3-lakh-pensioners-read-details","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mediapbn.com\/?p=23602","title":{"rendered":"Punjab to launch Pension Service Portal, benefitting over 3 lakh pensioners; Read details"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3><em>Chandigarh, August 16, 2025:In a move set to benefit nearly 3 lakh pensioners and soon-to-retire government employees in Punjab, the state government has announced the launch of an advanced Pension Service Portal.<\/em><\/h3>\n<h3><em>Designed to resolve pension-related matters from the comfort of home, the portal will put an end to frequent visits to government offices.<\/em><\/h3>\n<div>A pilot trial is already underway in six departments, with a full-scale public launch expected by Diwali this year.<\/div>\n<h3>Key Features of the Pension Service Portal<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>No More Office Visits: Pensioners can complete formalities and resolve issues online, avoiding unnecessary travel.<\/li>\n<li>Timely Pension Payments: Retiring employees will receive their pension directly into their bank accounts without delays, ensuring financial security.<\/li>\n<li>Online Life Certificate Submission: Annual life certificates can be submitted digitally, eliminating the need for physical presence.<\/li>\n<li>Time-Bound Grievance Redressal: Every complaint will be assigned a unique ID and routed directly to the concerned officer. Fixed timelines will ensure faster resolution and greater accountability.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>First Phase Implementation<\/h3>\n<div>The initial rollout covers the Health, Education, Police, Water Supply, and Sanitation departments. Data for employees nearing retirement from these sectors is being uploaded, along with records of existing pensioners.<\/div>\n<div>This facility will be available exclusively to government employees.
