UAE Pledges $15 Million to UNHCR for Sudan Crisis at 2026 Global Appeal<\/strong><\/p>\n Geneva, December 4, 2025 (BNN Web Staff)\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n The United Arab Emirates has announced a new $15 million contribution to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to bolster life-saving assistance for millions affected by the ongoing conflict in Sudan and neighbouring host countries.<\/p>\n The pledge was made today at the annual UNHCR Pledging Conference for the 2026 Global Appeal, held at the Palais des Nations in Geneva.<\/p>\n Speaking at the event, Jamal Al Musharakh, UAE Permanent Representative to the United Nations and International Organisations in Geneva, reaffirmed the UAE\u2019s unwavering solidarity with refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs) worldwide:<\/p>\n \u201cRefugees and IDPs are individuals with dignity and have the right to live in safety and hope.
