All Latest NewsWorld News

New Delhi: Ending speculation fueled by social media, India Post has clarified that its iconic 50-year-old Registered Post service is not being discontinued, but upgraded.

As part of a major revamp, Registered Post is being merged with the faster and more efficient Speed Post service to streamline operations, enhance delivery timelines, and improve customer experience.

Under the new system, customers will enjoy all the traditional features of Registered Post — including tracking and proof of delivery — combined with the speed and reliability of Speed Post.

Addressing the rumors, India Post tweeted: “Fact check: Registered Post is NOT being discontinued. We are upgrading it by merging with Speed Post. Modernising, not erasing.”

This transformation marks a shift towards faster, technology-driven postal services while retaining the trust built over decades.
