ABOHAR, JULY 11, 2026: In a major political development emerging from Abohar, the local Tehsildar, Navjeevan Chhabra, has officially announced the postponement of the Abohar Municipal Corporation mayoral elections, which were scheduled to take place today, July 10, 2026. The process has been deferred until further notice.

According to available inputs, all preparations for the election of the Mayor, Senior Deputy Mayor, and Deputy Mayor had been completed, and heavy security forces were deployed at the venue.
