Chandigarh issues traffic advisory, announces diversions on major roads for July 13

Chandigarh, July 12, 2026: The Chandigarh Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory announcing partial traffic diversions and restrictions on several major roads in the city on Monday, July 13, in view of special arrangements.

According to the advisory, vehicular movement on the identified routes will remain partially diverted or restricted from 10:30 AM to 3:00 PM.

Roads Affected

Traffic restrictions will be in place on the following stretches:

Sector 51/52 Light Point towards ISBT Sector 43 Chowk, passing through Sector 34-35/43-44 (South End Chowk), Sector 21-22/34-35 (Piccadilly Chowk) and Aroma Light Point on Himalayan Marg.

Sector 21-22/34-35 (Piccadilly Chowk) towards Sector 20/21-33/34 Chowk on Dakshin Marg, including Kisan Bhawan Chowk and Sector 20/30-32/33 (Gurudwara Chowk).

Sector 20/21-33/34 Chowk to Sector 33/34-44/45 Chowk, Sector 44/45-50/51 (Gaushala Chowk) and the road leading to the Mohali Barrier on Sarovar Path, including Sector 20/21 Light Point and Sector 45-46/49-50 Chowk.
Advisory for Commuters

The Chandigarh Traffic Police has advised commuters to:

Use alternate routes to avoid congestion.

Plan their journeys in advance during the restriction period.
