Earthquake hits Haryana’s Jhajjar

Haryana, August 10, 2025 — A light earthquake measuring 3.1 on the Richter scale shook Jhajjar district in Haryana on Sunday afternoon, the National Centre for Seismology (NCS) reported.

According to the NCS, the tremor was recorded at 4:10 PM IST at a depth of 10 kilometres, with coordinates 28.63°N latitude and 76.72°E longitude.

“EQ of M: 3.1, On: 10/08/2025 16:10:05 IST, Lat: 28.63 N, Long: 76.72 E, Depth: 10 Km, Location: Jhajjar, Haryana,” the agency posted on X.

No immediate reports of damage or casualties have been received so far. Further updates are awaited.
