Air India to suspend Delhi-Washington DC flights
New Delhi: Air India will suspend its Delhi–Washington DC flights starting September 1, citing operational reasons linked to its ongoing fleet upgrade programme. The airline has begun retrofitting 26 Boeing 787-8 aircraft to improve passenger experience, a process that will keep several planes out of service until late 2026.
The move, Air India said, is necessary to maintain the reliability and integrity of its wider route network during the transition.
