Man shoots wife dead in Punjab

Bathinda (Punjab), – A shocking case of domestic violence has emerged from Bathinda district, where a man allegedly shot and killed his wife using his licensed revolver. The incident took place in village Pakka Kalan under Sangat police station.
Police said the deceased woman has been identified as 43-year-old Jaspreet Kaur. She was allegedly shot multiple times by her husband, Jagsir Singh, following a heated argument on Tuesday. The couple reportedly had frequent quarrels over minor household issues, which are believed to have triggered the crime.
As soon as the incident was reported, police reached the spot and began investigations. Jaspreet Kaur died on the spot due to gunshot injuries.
Based on the statement of the victim’s brother, police have registered a case of murder against the accused husband, Jagsir Singh. He is currently absconding, and efforts are on to trace and arrest him.
The brutal killing has sent shockwaves through the village, with locals expressing outrage and grief over the incident.
